Our longest day trip and one of Morocco's most iconic routes: cross the dramatic Tizi n'Tichka pass through the High Atlas to reach Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed fortified kasbah used as a filming location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
The route continues to nearby Ouarzazate, Morocco's "Hollywood of Africa," with an optional stop at the Atlas Film Studios. This route also doubles as day one of our 4-Day Sahara Desert Group Tour if you'd rather continue on to the dunes.

Is this too long to do in a day?
It's our longest day trip, but the drive itself is scenic (the Tizi n'Tichka pass is one of Morocco's most dramatic roads), which makes the time pass quickly.
Can I skip returning to Marrakech and continue to the Sahara?
Yes — this route is day one of our 4-Day Sahara Desert Group Tour, so ask us if you'd like to switch instead of booking the day trip.
Is the Atlas Film Studios visit worth it?
It's optional and has a separate entrance fee, but fans of Gladiator, Game of Thrones or Lawrence of Arabia often enjoy seeing the sets and props.
